Margot Lovejoy – Digital Currents, Art in the Electronic Age : Critical Response

margot lovejoyWhat Margot Lovejoy tries to explain in her passage is that the history of art should not be split up into separate and distinct  periods but should be seen as one ongoing experience of  artists exploring and invention new ways to portray art. Some people tend to think that the modern age is somewhat better than the old and that everything has changed drastically including the ways of carrying out things. For example, Lovejoy mentions the Revolution and how people nowadays seem to think that if something similar occurs again, it will be dealt in a less violent manner. Lovejoy tries to eliminate the idea of the old ways and the early start of digital artwork is now irrelevant.
